Getting started

How do I create an account?

Click "Register" in the top right corner, fill in your details (username must be lowercase with no spaces), and you're ready to go. Registration is completely free.

Do I need to be over 18?

Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to use Quizbids. This is a legal requirement for participating in prize competitions.

Is Quizbids available in my country?

Currently, Quizbids is only available for users in the United Kingdom. We may expand to other countries in the future.

Tokens and payments

What are tokens?

Tokens are the virtual currency used to enter draws on Quizbids. Each token costs £1.00 and can be used to enter any draw. One entry costs one token.

How do I buy tokens?

Click "Buy tokens" in the header navigation. You can purchase preset packages or a custom amount. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our payment processor, Stripe.

Can I get a refund on tokens?

Tokens are generally non-refundable once purchased. However, if a draw you entered is cancelled, your tokens will be automatically refunded to your account. For exceptional circumstances, please contact customer support.

Do tokens expire?

No, tokens never expire. You can use them whenever you want to enter draws.

Entering draws

How do I enter a draw?

Browse active draws, click on one you like, answer the question correctly, and submit your entry. Each entry costs 1 token.

What happens if I answer the question wrong?

If you answer incorrectly, you won't enter the draw and no token will be deducted. You can try again with a different answer.

Can I enter the same draw multiple times?

Yes! You can enter the same draw as many times as you like (subject to having enough tokens). Each entry gives you another chance to win.

How are winners selected?

Winners are selected completely at random from all valid entries when the draw date arrives and the reserve is met. Each entry has an equal chance of winning.

How will I know if I win?

Winners are notified immediately by email and through their Quizbids account. Make sure your email address is up to date!

What is the reserve amount?

The reserve is the minimum total value of entries needed for a draw to proceed. If the reserve isn't met by the draw date, the seller can extend or cancel the draw.

Prizes and delivery

How do I claim my prize if I win?

You'll receive instructions via email. The seller will contact you to arrange delivery. You must respond within 14 days to claim your prize.

How long does delivery take?

Sellers must deliver prizes within 28 days of winner confirmation. Delivery times may vary depending on the item and seller location.

Do I have to pay for delivery?

This depends on the individual draw. Check the draw description for delivery information. Most sellers include free UK delivery.

What if there's a problem with my prize?

Contact customer support immediately if you receive a damaged or incorrect item. We'll work with the seller to resolve the issue.

For sellers

How do I become a seller?

Contact us at hello@quizbids.com to request seller access. We'll review your application and, if approved, upgrade your account.

What commission does Quizbids charge?

We take a 5% platform fee from the total draw value. You receive 95% of the money raised.

When do I get paid?

Payouts are processed within 7 working days of draw completion, subject to verification checks.

What if my draw doesn't reach its reserve?

If your reserve isn't met by the draw date, you can either extend the draw to a new date or cancel it. If you cancel, all participants are refunded their tokens.

What items can I list?

You can list most legal items in good condition. Prohibited items include counterfeit goods, weapons, illegal items, and anything that violates our terms and conditions.

Safety and security

Is Quizbids safe?

Yes. We use industry-standard security measures including SSL encryption, secure payment processing through Stripe, and regular security audits.

How is my payment information protected?

We don't store your full card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor trusted by millions of businesses worldwide.

Is the winner selection really random?

Yes, absolutely. We use cryptographically secure random number generation to ensure completely fair and unbiased winner selection.

What if I suspect fraud or cheating?

Please report any suspicious activity to hello@quizbids.com immediately. We take fraud very seriously and investigate all reports.

Account and technical

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Click "Forgot password?" on the login page. Enter your email address and we'll send you instructions to reset your password.

How do I update my account information?

Go to your Dashboard and click "Profile". You can update your email, name, and other details there.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Contact customer support at hello@quizbids.com to request account deletion. Note that you must use any remaining tokens before deletion, as they cannot be refunded as cash.

The site isn't working properly. What should I do?

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, or try a different browser. If problems persist, contact support with details about the issue and what browser you're using.
